a list of 'how to do' in the woodwork field
In this chapter I deal with how to
mark a shoulder line using my
Japanese marking knife and
engineers try-square

However since publishing this
series of images I bought a Ron
Hock marking knife, and I would
highly recommend this blade,
providing that it has been altered
to the same profile as my
Japanese marking knife.  I will
explain why under this chapter.

These can be obtained from the
manufacturer
Hocktools

marking a shoulder line using a Japanese marking knife and engineers try-squae
In this chapter I explain a different
system of marking the face side
and face edge.

The benefit with this method of
marking is that you will know in
which way to plane the timber.
